How do I change or edit a contact type?
Sometimes an Organization is accidentally recorded as an Individual and vice versa. If you need to convert the contact type of a donor within your Numero platform to be either an Individual or Organization, follow the steps below.
Converting an Individual to an Organization Contact Type
- Select the three dots next to the Individual contact's First and Last Name for the contact you are converting. From the dropdown options, select Convert Contact.
2. A panel will appear so you can confirm the Name, Salutation, Preferred Name and Formal Name of the new Organization. All data will be preserved on the new contact. Please note that there will be no Giving History data once converted (that is only available for Individual contacts). Also, if you have the ActBlue integration turned on in your Numero platform, any Organization that previously gave via AB as an Individual will lose the Giving History once converted to an Organization.
Once you confirm the new Organization, select Convert Contact at the bottom of the panel.
