How do I edit broadcast email message details like from name, reply to, etc?
Email Account Details
When you add the Email Comms service to your CRM, Numero creates your account with the following contact details for emails:
- Committee Address
- Committee Website URL
- Unsubscribe URL - Where the unsubscriber lands after clicking the Unsubscribe link
- Sending and Tracking Domains - See below
- From Name* - Default Committee, Organization, or Candidate Name
- From Local* - Default Main Email Address or Username
- Reply To Email Address* - Replies to your email will be routed to this email address by default
- Privacy Policy - If you have one
*These properties will be a primary or default setting, but you can modify them when you draft an email. For example, we can setup your Reply To email to be info@committeename.com but, for the email you send to next week’s donors, you can change it to financedirector@committeename.com. To change any of the above details at the account level, contact us at support@numero.ai.
Modify Email Account Details by Email
- In the Details section of your Email Broadcast draft, you can update any of the following to read as you prefer:
- From Name - This is what your recipient will see as the name associated with your email address
- From Email - Front of the email address such as "info" at info@committeename.com
- Reply to Email - If the recipient relies, this is the email address that the message is routed to
- From your email broadcast draft, you will see a preview in the light purple section to the right. You can also Send a Proof to see what the recipient will see
Verify Your Email Domain
We take the guesswork out of syncing your email domain with our email sources and will help you through the process at the time of onboard.
- Numero will verify your preferred Sending Domain and Tracking Domains
- Sending Domain: The domain or your website that is used to indicate who an email is from via the "From:" header (e.g. committeename.com or candidatename.com)
- Tracking Domain: The domain that is used in engagement tracking to report email opens and link clicks (e.g. numerolinks.committeename.com). This will be fixed at the account level. We will provide further direction on an onboard as to how your DNS handler can set this up.
- To complete the verification and syncing process, you will need to:
- Have access to your DNS (domain) records (e.g. GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc.)
- Sign into your DNS account
- Add the 3 unique records that Numero provides to you within your DNS Settings. These are tied to email authentication, email bounces, and tracking.
- Add new CNAME record. CNAME is the leading portion of a subdomain such as “mail” in mail.commiteename.com
- Contact us at support@numero.ai once all of the above are complete to complete the synchronization
