Can my donors cover payment processing fees?

Some donors want to ensure every dollar of their contribution makes the biggest impact possible. By choosing to cover processing fees, they can help your organization receive its full intended donation. This article walks through how the option works and what donors will see during the checkout process.

Enable the option for your donors to cover payment processing fees by toggling that option to 'Yes' in the page editor. Additional options will be visible to you after enabling the option, including setting a threshold amount and allowing the option to default your form to cover payment processing fees.

Cover Fees Threshold Amount: If you'd like higher dollar contributions to exclude the option to cover fees, provide the threshold amount in the field. For example, populating this field with $500 will exclude contributions over $500 from displaying the processing fee coverage option. 

Default to Covering Fees: This option will automatically have the payment processing coverage enabled for this contribution page. A donor can edit to remove, if they choose.

What do my donors see?

Donors will select the Edit option to add/ remove payment processing fee coverage.
