How do I set up contribution tracking for my broadcast email?
Your ability to create unique, prefilled, and tracked contributions for your emails is one of the easiest to use and most impactful features in our Email Builder. Activating ROI Tracking on your email is also what allows us to provide real-time, automated reporting on the fundraising performance of your email which we know is crucial in giving you the peace of mind that this tool is worth every penny!
After building your Audience for the email you're sending, you are sent to the Form tab. To enable ROI tracking, start by selecting the form type. You can add reference codes, source codes, and member codes as needed.
- Contribution - Processing via Numero or ActBlue
- Action - Petitions or surveys via Numero or ActionKit
- RSVP - Event forms via Numero
If you're choosing Numero, select the form you want to use from the dropdown. If you're using ActBlue, NGP, or another form link, you'll need to paste the form URL into that field rather than choosing from a dropdown. When you add this URL, it is required that you include https:// as part of the full link. If you choose any of the non-Numero options, we will still create SpeedyGive links if you use the SpeedyGive merge tag in the Message editor.
To create any of the codes, either choose an existing code from the dropdown or just start typing, then click create once you've completed typing your desired code.
Reminder: When creating linked buttons or CTAs with ROI tracking, use the SpeedyGive merge key {{contact.speedygive_url}} to track donors who click the button to make a contribution.
