How do I call, text or email a donor from the app?

To communicate (call, text, email) with your donor during call time in the App, you will need to navigate to the Contact Info section of your donor's profile. Select the calltime list and a donor you would like to call. Scroll down to the Contact info portion of the profile. Please note that before you text or email a donor you'll want to set up your text and email templates following these instructions

To call: 

  • All available phone numbers you have on file for the donor in the CRM will be displayed. For example, home phone, mobile phone, work phone, etc. If there are multiple phones listed, there will be grey check mark next to the primary phone number. 
  • Click the phone icon next to the number you would like to call and it will connect to your device to make an outgoing phone call
  • If you want to change the phone number you are dialing from, we've partnered with Open Phone to allow for this option. Click here to follow the instructions of how to configure your app to work with Open Phone. 

To text:

  • Click to text bubble icon next to the mobile number of a donor. Please make sure a text template is associated to your call time list in the CRM or a text template will not populate. Choose your text template from the available options.  From there, a draft template will appear in your device's messaging center. You can edit it before sending if needed and select the send button when you are done.
  • If the template needs to be updated, you can do so from the CRM following these instructions.

To email:

  • Click to email bubble icon next to the email of a donor. From there, a draft template will appear in your device to send out. Please make sure an email template is associated to your call time list in the CRM, or your draft template will not appear. You can edit your email before sending, if you need. 
  • If the template needs to be updated, you can do so from the CRM following these instructions
  • Note that if you need to change what email you are sending outgoing emails from, you'll need to configure your phone to recognize what your primary email address is while you are using the App. For more information click here for iPhone users or click here for Android users.
